...that makes everything feel new and fresh? I suppose it's because snow truly does change a landscape and change my mood! I finally got what I was asking for this past Thursday. About 3-4 sloppy, wet inches. But beggars can't be choosers, and while I got soaking wet sledding in the sleet that came after the snow, I was relieved to see the temperatures stay at or below freezing for the last 3 days. Some of the snow melted in the sunshine on Friday, but a large portion of it has stuck around. Enough to make driveways treacherous (I fell last nite, hitting my hip hard) and having horses tricky work. Today the temperatures were in the teens all day. Since the spiggot by the pasture was frozen, we hauled water from the barn out to the pasture for the horses and it froze in less than a half hour.
I still haven't gone snowboarding. Being MLK weekend, the rates are thru the roof, but maybe later this coming week, since snow flurries are in the forecast.
In other news, I got accepted to CMC (the school in Colorado). Now all I have to do is finish 30 hours of vet tech job shadowing and I should receive approval for the CVT program.
Problem is I can't find a vet who wants to let me job shadow. I'm getting a little frustrated because I've been trying to get this set-up for 3 weeks now. Keep your fingers crossed that something works out this week. The sooner I get this done, the sooner we can make more permanent plans, yay!
