Mt. Sopris towers over the Roaring Fork Valley at 12, 953 feet. This shot was taken from the campus of Colorado Mtn College.I was accepted into the vet tech program at CMC upon the completion of my "shadowing" hours and on April 11th, Cory and I flew to Colorado to go visit the school and the Glenwood area.
Our friend Chris Larose picked us up at the airport in Denver and we spent the first night in Idaho Springs with Chris, Maggie and their girls, Taylor & Keira. It was Chris's birthday so we went to TommyKnocker's and some other random bar to celebrate.
Glenwood Springs is located at the confluence of the Colorado and Roaring Fork Rivers, has the world's largest hot springs swimming pool, is home to the Yampa vapor caves and is the final resting place of infamous wild west cowboy John Henry "Doc" Holliday.
