I ♥ Levon Helm

For those who don't know Levon Helm was one of the vocalists and the drummer for one of the greatest rock groups ever, The Band. Originally backing Bob Dylan, The Band became their own entity in 1967. The following is from their 1976 farewell performance The Last Waltz:

In 2007, at the age of 67 and having just recovered from throat cancer, Levon released the Grammy winning Dirt Farmer.

And then the follow up, yet another Grammy winning album, Electric Dirt, in 2009.

Levon Helm will be 70 this year, on May 26, and the man still knows how to rock n' roll!
